I grew up in the Midwest and chose my career path as I began college. I don’t recall putting a great deal of effort into it. I grew up in an entrepreneurial family and decided to study business. I earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Elmhurst College in Illinois. I worked in banking, business, and risk management administration. Although I found a measure of success in these jobs, I did not find professional fulfillment. In fact, I found elements in most of my jobs to be quite draining. I did, however, love connecting with clients and colleagues. I knew I desired a career that I was energized by and utilized my personal strengths. I began the deep dive into researching my next career. I reached out for help and completed facilitated assessments.
This led me to the awareness that I was ready to refocus on psychology and counseling. Eventually, I earned a master’s degree in counseling and psychology from Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota. This led me to a focus on career counseling, career navigation, and personality assessment.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, traveling to beautiful locations, playing pickleball, learning to golf, ‘gourmet’ club nights, leisurely riding my bike, playing games, beach walks, canoeing on a sunny day, or simply reading a good book.
I strive to help others discover fulfilling career options based on their unique interests, work personality, and values. This applies to people of all ages and backgrounds! I also support personal effectiveness and accountability for individuals or workgroups based on the ADW personal effectiveness report of unique personality systems.
